Temporary Shelter by Sally Clark (aww, this made my night brighter)

Temporary Shelter
"Help me to remember
that in this world,
I am only visiting;
help me to have
the manners of a guest
and the hospitality
of family."
— Sally Clark

MMM this is just what I needed on a Thursday night, I was getting bored, and this gem came to my salvation!

Only a chapter through it, and it's very fluid writing. Can't wait to keep reading through the days.

Hahaha gotta love Shakesperean insults

Mathew 7:13-14 (Love this scripture)

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only few find it.

Romans 8: 1-2

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Jesus Christ, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and death.

Nick Benoit- The Lord's Prayer

We can set up a poetry group of Christians, it is so possible and so full of life.

This is an example of the power of poetry, inspired by God.

Tears by John Brewer

Where do tears go when they dry?
How many people in this world cry?
They cry for sorrow. They cry for joy.
Men, women, little girls and boys.
Some tears are carried away by the wind
To join the clouds and come back again
As gentle rain falling from above,
Reminding us of eternal love.
“Jesus wept,” are words I’ve read.
They rest like a father’s hand on my head.
How often, when I’ve been caught in the rain
Have His tears come back to wash me again.

My Wall by Thena

Oh, Lord it began so slowly
The ruin of my wall
With first a crack of doubt
A lose brick of fear,
And then it began to fall.

Further neglect of God’s Word-
No time to say a prayer,
Nourished all the weeds
That replaced the flowers there.

The Holy Spirit tried to tell me
The enemy had free access
He tried to make me listen
But without much success.

Lack of discipline
Didn’t really seem like such a crime
I’d like to study God’s Word—
If I could find the time.

Procrastination seemed to be
A small chink in my wall.
But pretty soon the hole was large
It didn’t look so small.

Oh, Lord help me rebuild my wall
Help me choose each brick
To make this wall a lasting one--
Please make the mortar thick.’

Give me such a love for your Word
Such a thirsting in my heart,
That I will be able to persevere
And show me where to start.

Thank you Lord for showing me
Before it was too late,
I want to start rebuilding now-
I don’t want to wait.

AMAZING- I Will Wait For You

Love this performance poem. So full of God's eternal love.

Christian Poetry

I love being a Christian. Setting up a Creative Writing/ Poetry group of my own is such a wealth of opportunity for the glory of God. Here's a video that has inspired me today:

So true

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Ephesians 4:9
Romans 12:1-2
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."

John 14:12-14I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before me.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10
